Healthy chocolate protein porridge or oats
Such a simple recipe that will keep you fuller for longer with all those added benefits that Hemp has to offer. A complete source of protein from our hemp protein powder and all your omegas and fibre from our seeds, covers everything you need to start your day. We added a little bit of dark chocolate to sweeten it up or you can use cacao powder or coco powder instead.
1 cup of oats (wholegrain or rolled)
1 Tablespoon of flaxseeds
1 Tablespoon of chia seeds
1 Tablespoon of HH Hemp Hearts
1 Tablespoon of HH Hemp Protein Powder
1 Teaspoon of cacao powder or (couple of pieces of dark chocolate)
2 cups of whatever milk you desire (we use oat milk or water)
Place everything in saucepan over a medium/low heat. Stir and let your porridge slowly heat. Keep an eye on your porridge and stir occasionally (you don't want it to stick to the bottom of the pan).
Take off the heat when your happy with the consistency of your porridge (we like a creamy porridge thats not too stodgy but not too watery). If you find you need to add more liquid into your porridge, do so and stir over heat until satisfied.
Place porridge in serving bowl and sprinkle over HH Hemp Hearts - Enjoy!
