Harvest to Hand Homemade Pasta

Nothing beats homemade hemp pasta recipe - if you haven't tried it out yourselves already we highly recommend it! Especially our Hemp pasta, delicate in flavour but high in protein and fibre. You can use either our Hemp protein powder or Hemp flour to make your homemade pasta it just depends how much of a protein hit you want. We thought it was hard to make homemade pasta ourselves but once you try it you will be shocked at how easy it really is!

 

Ingredients:

1 ¾ cups of 00 flour or high grade flour

¼ cup of hemp flour or hemp protein powder

2 eggs

pinch of salt

 

Method:

Sieve out flour and hemp onto bench and made a well to crack eggs into.

Whisk eggs with fork slowly combining flour mixture. Start using your hands to knead and mix flour and eggs. Make sure you have plenty of flour on the surface so your dough doesn’t stick. Once it is well kneaded roll into a ball, wrap in glad wrap and let it sit for an hour.

Once its well rested start rolling out with rolling pin till its to your desired thickness. We use a pasta roller which thins out the pasta and cuts into spaghetti or fettuccine. If you don't have a pasta roller you will need to roll out until around 1-2 mm thick and cut into your desired pasta shape.

Once you have your desired pasta, place in boiling water with a pinch of salt until the pasta starts to float and its cooked through. Do not over cook.

Mix with your favourite sauce or try our hemp pesto mixed through - can never have too much hemp.
